Daily life for a Celtic family was usually busy and tiring. As many as thirty families lived together in a specially built hill-fort, and there was always plenty of work and repairs to be done. Religion also played an important part in Celtic life and festivals were held throughout the year in honor of the gods. Yet the Celts were never completely free form danger as rival tribes were always planning surprise atacks.
