Think of some of the objects found in school. What have you come up with? A desk? Books? Pens, pencils and crayons, perhaps? More than 100 years ago schoolchildren had desks, books, pens, pencils and crayons, too. Most of the object used then looked very different to those used today. They were made of different materials and came in other shapes and sizes.
