A story about a girl caled Kate who persuades her Dad to let her have a hamster. When Dad continually checks to see if Harry the hamster is fine, Kate begins to wonder whether the animal is happy, and decides to take him back to his roots, in the Syrian desert. Illustrated with black abd white line drawings by Philip Hopman.
