As New

• Could easily be mistaken for brand new
• Undamaged cover
• All pages undamaged (no creases or tears)
• No underlining/highlighting of text or writing in margins
• No damage to binding
• If the book normally has a dust jacket, the jacket is included
• May be an overstock/remainder
• No missing pages

Very Good

• Minimal amount of creasing to the spine
• Square binding
• Minimal or no discolouration to pages
• Dust jacket present
• May contain writing only on the title page 

Good

• Slightly crooked or scuffed spine
• Mild creasing scuffing of cover
• Slightly loose bindings
• Mild browning
• Slight highlighting or note taking
• May be without front or end page (no content missing)

Acceptable

• Spine may be warped with cracking and scuffing
• Cover may be discoloured and creasing
• Pages may be browned and warped
• Markings and note taking do not interfere with reading
• May be without end papers or title page
• May be some water damage
• Cover slightly torn
