Yoshi is 13 and he's running for his life. Trapped in a dead-end in Chinatown, his life flashes before his eyes as his pursuer approaches - until the floor drops out beneath his feet and he falls down a waste-chute - and into a world he never knew existed. Knocked unconscious, he awakes to find he's lost his memory - and found a family of urchins and street magicians. Their leader, Julius, an elderly man who no longer goes above surface, sees Yoshi's arrival as a sign and enlists him in his cause, tracking a mysterious villain who threatens the whole of London. But Yoshi is more concerned with finding out just who he is. Will it ever be safe for him to go home?
