Synopsis

While travelling on a train through India in 1946, the yound Sister Teresa heard the voice of God telling her to got out into the cities and help the poorest of the poor. For the rest of her life she just did that. She founded a new order of nuns, the Missionaries of Charity. Together with her many willing helpers, she gave food and the medicine and, above all, love to the poor and sick in India. In time she began to set up homes for the poor around the world. This book tells the story of Mother Teresa, and how she achieved 'something beautiful for God'.
