Sir Crispin Sparrow is a most unusual knight. He is known as the Dragonslayer but he doesn't believe in dragons! In fact, his main interest is in growing cabbages, much to the disappointment of his squire Thomas and his friend Edith. Yet in spite of Sir Crispin's lack of enthusiasm for adventures, the threesome soon find themselves entangled in all sorts of exciting and humorous situations.
